Payments that stopped going missing
US banking software company serving regional and community banks
Problem
Regional banks run on core systems that predate the processes built on top of them. Between the core and the customer, work passes through hands, queues and integrations, and the worst failures are quiet: transfers that arrive late, records that disagree, transactions that dissolve into reconciliation. Trust erodes one missing payment at a time.
Solution
We worked inside the client's platform, the layer that orchestrates banking processes end to end on top of those cores, with one standard: delays become guarantees. Deterministic processing, reconciliation that closes instead of accumulating, and transaction security treated as architecture rather than as an audit checkbox.
Outcome
Payments stopped going missing. Delays became guarantees. Those systems are still standing, years later, untouched by us. That last part is the signature: we build things that do not need us.
